Yoga for Healthy Eyes

Do you find yourself straining your eyes after long hours of work or excessive screen time? Yoga can be a holistic solution for maintaining healthy eyes and improving vision. In this blog post, we will explore some yoga exercises that specifically target eye health.

Palming: Sit comfortably and rub your palms together vigorously until they feel warm. Close your eyes and place your warm palms over them, without applying any pressure. Allow the warmth and darkness to relax your eye muscles and relieve strain. Repeat this exercise several times a day for better eye health.

Focus Shifting: Sit in a comfortable position and extend your arm in front of you, thumb pointing up. Focus on your thumb and slowly bring it closer to your face while maintaining focus. Then, gradually move it away and focus on an object in the distance. Repeat this exercise 10 times to strengthen your eye muscles.

Blinking: Blinking is a simple yet effective exercise to lubricate your eyes and reduce dryness. Sit comfortably and blink quickly for 20 seconds. Then, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Repeat this exercise periodically throughout the day to keep your eyes hydrated.

Eye Rolling: Look straight ahead and slowly roll your eyes clockwise in a circular motion. After a few circles, switch to an anti-clockwise direction. This exercise helps to improve blood circulation around the eyes and relieve tension. Repeat 10 times for best results.

Regular practice of these yoga exercises can help in maintaining healthy eyes and improving focus and vision. Include them in your daily routine to experience the benefits. Remember to consult your doctor or an eye specialist if you have any pre-existing eye conditions.
